Another way to understand the soul of a woman \u2014 through dance.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n

As part of the International Ballet Festival, on April 4 and 5 the National Ballet of Uzbekistan will present the performance \u201cLazgi. Dance of Soul and Love\u201d on the stage of the Alisher Navoi State Academic Bolshoi Theatre of Uzbekistan.<\/p>\n\n

The production draws on the ancient Khorezm dance lazgi \u2014 a language of emotions in which movement, glance and gesture reveal a woman\u2019s inner world. In the performance, tradition merges with contemporary ballet, turning an ancient dance into a story about love, life and the soul. <\/p>\n\n

A dance recognized worldwide<\/strong>The ballet is based on the ancient Khorezm dance \u201cLazgi\u201d,<\/a> which is included in UNESCO\u2019s Representative List of the Intangible Cultural Heritage of Humanity.<\/p>\n\n

A new stage interpretation<\/strong>The traditional dance is presented as contemporary ballet.<\/p>\n\n

A strong creative team<\/strong>Choreographer \u2014 Raimondo Rebeck<\/a> (Germany), scenography \u2014 Yoko Seyama<\/a>, costumes \u2014 Frol Burimsky.<\/a>Idea author \u2014 Saida Mirziyoyeva.<\/a>Project director \u2014 Gayane Umerova.<\/a><\/p>\n\n

A large-scale production<\/strong>Costumes, lighting, music and choreography create an atmosphere in which tradition resonates in a new way.<\/p>\n\n

A story about a woman and her soul<\/strong>A story of love for dance and life that began during the era of the Great Silk Road. The choreographer saw in Lazgi not just a dance, but a reflection of a woman\u2019s soul, her love and inner world. <\/p>\n\n
