The award was presented for her contribution to strengthening cultural ties between Uzbekistan and France, as well as for promoting Uzbek art on the international stage. <\/p>\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Key Cultural Projects<\/h2>\n\n<p>Under Gayane Umerova\u2019s leadership, several large-scale cultural initiatives aimed at developing the country\u2019s cultural infrastructure are being implemented.<\/p>\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>the creation of the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.ccat.uz\/ru\" type=\"link\" id=\"https:\/\/www.ccat.uz\/ru\">Center for Contemporary Art<\/a> in Tashkent;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>the construction of the new State Museum of Arts of Uzbekistan;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>the organization of the Aral Cultural Summit, whose second edition is scheduled for autumn 2026.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Bukhara Biennale<\/h2>\n\n<p>In 2025, the first <a href=\"https:\/\/www.bukharabiennial.uz\/en\" type=\"link\" id=\"https:\/\/www.bukharabiennial.uz\/en\">Bukhara Biennale of Contemporary Art<\/a> took place and attracted more than one million visitors. The project became one of the largest cultural events in the region and an important platform for international cultural dialogue. <\/p>\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Development of the Creative Economy<\/h2>\n\n<p>In 2026, Gayane Umerova was appointed head of the Republican Council for the Development of the Creative Economy of Uzbekistan.
